RULES
AND PHOTO SUBMISSION INFORMATION
- Contest Begins July 15,
2004 and Closes (Midnight) Sept 15, 2004.
- The Photo Contest is open
to all Junior Riders 18 years and under.
All pictures submitted for prizes Must
Be Original. (Taken by the person submitting
or related parties, in 2004.)
- Commercial photos or reproduced
images from non-original sources (magazine,
advertising, etc.) will not be eligible
for judging.
- Pictures submitted may
be on film or digital. All pictures must
be developed and ready for viewing and
judging. Undeveloped film, non-finished
photos, or illegible images will not be
accepted. No videos.
- Electronic images should
be no larger than 800 by 600 pixels at
72 dpi. and no smaller than 640 by 480
pixels at 72 dpi. Please keep your file
sizes down to no more than 800 - 900 kb
per image (compressed size). No allowances
will be made for poor-quality scans.
- Submissions will be limited
to one photo in each category, per e-mail
address. (Max.3 photos).
- Haycroft.ca
will not be responsible for any misdirected,
undelivered, or electronically damaged
images or any other conditions which renders
the judges unable to consider the photos
for prizes.
- Haycroft.ca,
its agents, employees, and the judges,
will not enter into any dialogue (written,
oral or electronic) with contestants other
than to inform winners at the end of the
contest period.
- NOTE:
Photos will not be returned. Be sure to
retain originals of your photos or negatives
before submitting.
PRIZES:
One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected
from all entries
One (1) Winner will be selected from each
category.
Winning Entries and Runner-up pictures will
be displayed on our web pages.

(see below) you wish to enter your picture.

MUST indicate “Photo
Contest” or we will not receive
your photos.
Photos are to be submitted into
one of the following THREE (3) CATEGORIES:
1. “LIFE AROUND THE BARN”
This category will be judged for photos
that best depict situations involving people,
horses and activities in and around the
“Barn, Stables Fields... etc”.
Originality of subject matters, images,
emotions, interactions between subjects,
will determine the winner in this category.
2. “HORSEBACK RIDING”
This category is for photos that best depict
situations involving riders on their horses;
Showing, pleasure, trail, driving, having
fun, in a lesson, etc. Pictures will be
judged for originality, subject matter and
for best images of riders and their horses
in action.
3. “ANYTHING GOES”
This is the “OPEN” category
where any photo about horse life is eligible.
Funny, sad, serious, artistic,... Be creative...
